Messing around with some new-ish vocal techniques. A little bit midrange bark/yell stuff (as well as a bit of high-mid strained vocals that sound kinda like the rare higher LDoH vocals), but also messing around with the head back/throat open growl technique. Lets you drop lower than normal in tone, but it plays hell with your enunciation and breath control.

I've been way too lazy with this lately.

Those who fight further by the black mages: I'm learning most of the guitar parts and some of the lead keyboard parts; basically all the bits I need to know to be able to play it by myself. Might take me some time.

Learning it all on guitar btw.

Fuck yeah. Although I prefer the original from the FF8 Soundtrack, but that has less guitar parts so yeah.

I'm learning Symphony X solos, although I have to transpose them down as I only have 21 frets. But once I have my new guitar... eheheheh.

Currently learning Domination, Serpents Kiss and Sins and Shadows (Solo).

I'm really trying to nail down on the tapping across multiple strings, trying to get as little string noise as possible. It really is a bitch sometimes, but it shall be worth it in the long run.

currently learning red hot chili peppers universally speaking on the bass, dunno if anyone has realized but most bass stuff in metal is really not all that exciting to play, there are exceptions but mostly just playing 8's or 16's for those with picks. the anvil bassist has some sweet riffs though

Ah I have noticed that plenty in metal, but it isn't for every band, some have very interesting basslines, some which completely differ from the guitar. I don' really have good suggestions as I am not a bassist though.

A lot of death/doom and funeral doom bands have slow, but intricate parts for bass. About to learn Institutionalized by Suicidal Tendecies on guitar.

I've been learning random excerpts of music from Final Fantasy 8. It's wicked.
